German Sheperd Dog ( Cserhát-völgyi Juhász Kennel & Dogs Scool)

My name is Zoltán Juhász, since my birth There have been dogs around me and I grew up in a house with a garden. My parents loved smaller dogs so I spent my childhood among these breeds of dogs.

In my childhood I watched a film about Kántor on TV and I decided to have that breed of German Shepherd Dog. I started to collect as much information about these species as I could

I was talking to a lot of breeders and owners.

When I got my first German Shepherd Dog a was very proud of it and I was surprised how smart and intelligent this breed of dog is and how well can be taught.

In the beginning of 90's I had an opportunity to visit Hungary's most famous dog school in Dunakeszi. This school belongs to the Hungarian Police and it is a special dog training school.

The dogs are trained here in international way. I went there to with my 2 years old male dog where I learnt this job (training dogs) very well and my dog passed an excellent exam. I got a certificate about this skill.

This dog was a working dog at the Boarder of Hungary and Slovakia, he was beautiful black and red German Shepherd male. He was very skilful. After the training he found a lot of missing people. He was very successful.

To tell the truth the idea of founding of a dog school was based on tv series called Kántor és Rex. They were perfect tracers. I wanted that dogs to be trained in the same way as them

And after a long and hard work it is possible to follow their trace. Luckly the German Shepherd Dog is very intelligent, learns easily and ready to do everything. In reference books they are called King of Dogs. I always loved the dogs which are outstanders because of their ability but not because of the appearance.

I think people should keep dogs such as loyal partners or and friends who serve their own owners very faithfully and protect them. That affection which is given by this animal is impossible to obtain from anyone else.

About our dog school

So I founded a dog school in a small village called Szügy in Hungary. At first there were a few dogs on the training because in a village people think about dogs differently they do not find it important to train them. But today I have lots of dogs even from the area far from Szügy by 30-40 km. We teach the dogs and their owners for security, skillful and discliplinary tasks.

We always have dogs with outstanding achievement and we hold different shows with them. Besides these civil shows we hold shows for boardguids and for Police. During these shows the dogs climb ladders, jump 2 metres high fence or they catch the moving car's driver.

We held these shows all over Nógád County and we are ready to go anywhere in Hungary.

Breeding

Paralelly with our dog school we run a German Shepherd Dog breeding. We started it with a female dog which we took the different dog shows we taught for everything in our dog school and she finally took breeding exam with a flying colour. I obtained a patent for our kennel and we started the breeding. Since then we have had more breeding females and males among them to work and show pedigree.

Our dogs have become well-known in Hungary due to the Internet. Dogs from our breeding can be found in Budapest, Szombathely, Pécs, Debrecen, etc. But our dogs are searched for example from Germany and Greece

As As I mentioned earlierI think the dogs' abilities are more important than their appearances. So I do not insist on the Hungarian dog shows and exhibitions.

About my plans

I would like to teach more than 20 dogs. I go out for having well-trained and clever dogs all over Hungary. Whose owners can be proud of them and teach their pets joyfully. By this way the dogs can give more sense of the owners life and more animal-friends will live in this country.

The dogs are the best friend of people and if it necessary it can defend people as well. You can find more unselfish and more loyal living being nowhere in the world. So it is important to take care of them.

As far the dogs-accidents, I think that well-balanced dog will never bite anyone without reason. So I think it is necessary to make rules about the keeping security dogs. I believe that it is possible only after obtaining some knowledge.

Having a dog in my opinion is a very nice sport or hobby where someone can make friends. In my living place I teach the dogs in our dog school free because I think that if someone does something because of the money it can lead to low quality. It is forbidden to exploit an animal whose life depends on people.
